my chicken is about 4-5 months old; she hasnt laid any eggs yet.
she's been very docile for the last 4-5 days. she hasnt been eating or drinking anything and doesnt even try to run away when i go near her or grab her. i thought she eats very little and i just dont happen to see it. but after about- 5 days of showing similar behavior, she has now become about half of her original weight. i tried force feeding her some water since her mouth seemed really dry, and also some rice (she loves rice) as her stomach was completely empty. after some time i saw that she kept her mouth open as she seemed to be having some difficulties. i opened her mouth and saw that none of the rice had been swallowed and it seemed to be just stuck on the entrance of her throat.
she has no bumps in her mouth. her crop is empty. no breathing difficulties. her eyes seem fine. no signs of a cold.
can someone please help? i dont think she can keep this up for much long.
