Hi guys,

One of my chicken I noticed isn't walking right. He likes to sit down a lot too. His leg is covered in this hard white callus. I have a rooster like that too but he is fine.

What is the issue here and how can I cure it?

Here's a picture. What do you guys think?

It's very hard to tell in your picture, but I think that is build up of dried and hardened droppings and dirt. It can dry and build up like that and be very, very hard. I would do a good soak in warm, soapy water (dawn dish soap is good), and try to soften and clean some of that off. Be gentle and try not to damage skin or scales. You may have to do it more than once. Once all the gunk is off you can reassess to see if there is more going on, like scaly leg mites or bumblefoot.

It gotten worst over the next few days, so much that she didn't like walking anymore. I did as you said, soak her feet in Epsom salt and then tried to scrap off as much gunk as I could. I got most of it off but it's not completed. During the process I believe some of the skin was taken off because the gunk was like glued to the skin. So there was some tears and a bit of blood. Here's a before and after picture.

Another thing I noticed was one of the fingers on the left leg was black.

Thanks for the response. I don't have triple ointment. I was thinking tmr I'll try to take more off and then put either vaseline on it or neosporin. What do you think?

I still not sure what it is, it just kep growing and growing. Is it scaly feet or like mites?

If you use Neosporin, make sure it doesn't contain the pain relief. I wouldn't soak too often, give her "skin" time to rest & don't scrub. Soak and gently remove whatever you can.

It looks like a fungus of some kind, or like eczema ....
Where are you located? Wondering about weather conditions? Rainy/humidity?
What do you have on the ground of their coop/run?
Any other of your chickens have the same condition?
Are you able to take her to a Vet?
Would it be possible to separate her, keeping her in a cage with the bottom lined with potty pads or something to keep her feet dry? Or even a card board box lined with paper towels?
