Hello BYC community!

My hen had underwent two prolapse surgeries - one on 18th and a second one on 21st. The second one was done as she prolapsed again after the stitches from the first one was removed.

Last night, we noticed lumpy poop. We thought it was some rice grains that we had fed her. But this morning, we noticed it again. Would this be worrying?

She has been eating greens, some brown rice and hard boiled egg.

Yes! Thank you so much! We figured after we switched her diet to hard boiled eggs - that the lumps disappeared.

We were advised to pause chicken food to stop the egg producing process for a while while she heals.

Chicken feed won't stop the egg-laying process. I wish it did! It would have saved a few hens over the years from reproductive problems.

But she's doing better?

Oops.. during our visit to the vet today to get her checked, the vet told us we could resume the chicken feed!

Yes thankfully she's doing much better - eating and pooping well :) we're so glad!
