I have seen quite a few posts asking what it looks like when a chicken squats. Normally they will squat low to the ground and cup their wings. My Rhodie will usually arch her neck and her back when I scratch her back. I have another Rhodie who drums her foot which is common too. Then I have seen hens that will just squat and cup their wings a little. Some hens will puff up and frill their feathers too. You'll see my rhodie do that. Here are a couple of clips of my girls doing 'the squat'.

She does the fluff and shake just like my hens do after they squat for their rooster.
