Trying to figure out what killed my hen.

I have around 70 hens, and yesterday I came out in the front yard and I noticed one of them laying in the grass, she appeared to be dead by the way she was laying (I thought a dog or something killed her).

I went to move her and she opened her eyes and tried to stand up, there was blood coming out of her beak (only her beak no other place) and I saw some of it on the grass, it was dripping fairly constantly. A few seconds later she started flopping around and ended up on her back, dead.

I examined the outside of her body and everything appeared fine, no infections cuts or anything wrong. None of the other hens appear to be sick.

I've found things about sudden chicken death syndrome, but nothing mentioned internal bleeding.

    Any ideas?

She could have suffered a head injury by flying into something or from an accident. I found a red tail hawk just today after hearing a loud thud on the side of my house. It was young, and it was bleeding from the beak and died right there from either a broken neck or head injury. Sorry for your loss.
