One minute Hatsy was scratching and pecking around the yard with the other two hens, and the next minute she suddenly slowed way down. When I rounded up the girls and put them back in their coop, Hatsy went to the corner and lay down and fell asleep, fluffed up and tail drooping.
I put her inside the henhouse, and she drank a LOT of water, and slept standing at the water cup. It's not too hot out or too cold.. She'd been eating grubs and bugs all afternoon. There's no poison or fertilizer in the yard, although Poison was my first thought.
Any help is appreciated -- I'm afraid we're going to lose her!
