Chicken suddley died

So I know chicken can just up and die on you, but last night I noticed one of my RReds acting not well, I made sure she had a good drink of water before I put her in for the night. Checked on her this am and she was about the same, got her some food and water and her own little space so she could rest, Not 10 minutes later she passed. She was not breathing heavy and had no drainage from her mouth, nose or rear but when she passed, she had a lot of mucus coming from her mouth and nose which has me concerned. Any ideas?

Maybe if you can answer some of these questions someone can offer advice:


What was the behavior, exactly.

How long had the bird been exhibiting symptoms?

Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?

What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.

What had the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.

How did the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.

Describe the housing/bedding in use
