Chickens are definitely SOOO smart! Jagger often catches onto tricks so easy, she always knows when it's time to train, she definitely lives for it.

Do you "clicker" train?

Yes, I do use a clicker for the most part! There was a month or two I didn't use it and there's nothing wrong with that, but I do enjoy using a clicker very much.

I started a little training with my chickens, was teaching to go in the crate, and step up on my hand, but got very side tracked by the addition of a new hen. I needed to build a bigger coop, then went on to do a larger enclosed run. Now I've discovered the new hen causes problems when I try to work with the other one, so have to separate for training. So I've not gotten very far. My plan is to target train, and build from there. I'd love to see your tricks, but I don't do twitter.

My account is on Instragram Target training is definitely a great skill, a lot of Jagger's tricks originated from that and it's great for starting to train.

Interesting. I'm wonderging, did you start training your girls as chicks to be super friendly enough for advanced stuff?
