We have an interesting thing going on and were wondering how it will work out:
We have two flocks of ages 11 weeks and 18 weeks. about 30 in each. They each have their own coops and are aloowed to free range, being seperated only by a rail fence, which they are able to jump through. When the youngsters cross over on to the oldsters turf, and get caught, they get chased back to their own territory. Lots of running and screaming accompanies this activity. The older ones almost never visit the youngsters turf and when they do, all is peacful. I've never seen more than one oldster visiting at a time. Do you think they will eventually share turf? They all have plenty of space to avoid each other forever. Just curious if others have had this scenario and what finally happened.
