Chicken walking boot

Made these little chick walking boot/splints for 5 day old Sussex with leg issue. Used a moldable mouth guard.

That’s cool, I think it should work but I don’t know what’s wrong with the leg. I recommend that the foot part be bigger.

Thanks! I want to stabilize the foot and leg and be able to see tips of toes to monitor perfusion. Will tweak here and there. She is walking on it.

Is there a hole at the back for her back toe to stick out? This is a very good idea, it's similar to some that a guy on Etsy sells. I'm going to try and 3D print one.

Are the toes curled under, or is there a leg issue as well? Riboflavin (vitamin b 2) found in human b complex and in some chick vitamins, can be given in small amounts to help overcome some leg hatch issues.

Slipped tendon could also be a problem.
