Chicken with wing ripped off and bone sticking out

Eight days ago a raccoon got a hold of 10 of our chickens. Four were dead and Five were dragged off never to be seen again. Five survived. One of my chickens had an injured wing but she didn't seem bothered by it. On further inspection her wing is missing and the bone is sticking straight out. She still acts like nothing is wrong. It looks horrible! I'm concerned that it could get infected and make the rest of my chickens sick. I'm brand new at being a chicken lady. I'm about as city as they come! What should I do about this poor chicken? Please advise!

Is taking her to a vet possible? I would get some betadine and clean the wound daily, and remove any pus or or infected tissue. Apply plain antibiotic ointment such as bacitracin or neosporin twice a day. A good antibiotic, more powerful that what most feed stores supply,would be best. There have probably been many birds with this type of wound that have survived. Do some research at the top of this page in the search box.
