    you thought i finished? noooooo...
i was missing the cute little yellow balls, so, here they are!!! a new batch of ducks when the first ones were one month old
    [IMG]
they were too many in that cage, no? ok, ok, we move out in no time
    [IMG]
no heat lamp for these strong girls
    [IMG]
less than a week and the ducks moved out, in the coop, to make room for some more chickens
    [IMG]
those needed a heat lamp, they are so tiny

a few days later the ducks enjoy the outdoor life
    [IMG]
just to have an idea how much they grow in one month, look at the difference between the first batch and the second
    [IMG]
it was the time for the chickens to come outside too
    [IMG]
the younger ducks had to join the flock
    [IMG]
    drilling for oil [IMG]

big enough to butcher, no? oooo, yeah...
well, for two months we took care of them, now it is the time they will take care of us
    [IMG]
those were the first 4 ducks that we butchered, from the first batch. up to the end, everybody went in the freezer camp

this is my chest freezer. my daughter has an other one as full as mine. pretty good, for 3 months of hard work. i'm happy with the result. i dont have to buy chickens or ducks for one year.

Please understand that I mean NO disrespect , and I Totally enjoyed the pics of the baby chicks and ducks along with the cute narratives ,

However , I did Not really enjoy the Pics at the End of the post , as I feel maybe a " Warning " sentence might have been in good order

After your initial subject title in the index , or possibly your post could have gone under the " Meat Birds " Thread.

I'm just a bit concerned that a young child might view the post , ( either with or without an Unsuspecting adult with them ), and when

Scroll down to last pics , they might get upset.

You know how children are , they can " Fall in love " with looking at just

A few pics of cute duckies and chicks.

Again , please understand that I mean No disrespect.

    X2

I mean NO disrespect either, but agree completely that there should have been some kind of warning. I was so enjoying the photos of the chicks and their progress and the fun they were having, but my heart sank down into my Keds when I saw the first "butcher" pic. I'm 47 years old, not a young child, and it upset me.

Again, great pics of the babies, and no disrespect intended.

    Hi jenny_kap
Those ducks sure look yummy. I have never processed duck, just process extra roosters. Those ducks look so plump.

For the more sensitive viewers you can edit your title and/or first post to include statement that ducks are dressed for dinner.

    Adorable baby pics.
