After reading the post on how people started the hobby of chickens, it was amazing how many considered it as therapy.

I had just came home from my Rheumatologist today and I told him how depressing it is to not have any energy to do anything. I told him my chickens were my therapy and he laughed. He told me what ever works to help feel better to go for it. But after visiting a friends commerical chicken farm he wasn't interested in any fresh eggs.

But I can just watch them for a long time and it gives me some exercise which I hope I can continue to do more and get more energy and feel better.

People will come over and visit and will just stand there for an hour watching the chickens. Of course the pygmy goats are entertaining also.

    Jackie,
Chickens are good medicine! I always feel better after a bit of a visit with the girls and Henry. there is something very "real" about their normal chicken lives compared to the chaos of ours [IMG].
