Chickens aren't eating/using the grit I provide

My chickens are nearing 6 months and still don't eat the grit we I've them but since our house is pebble dashed they eat any tiny rocks from the wall. Should I try different grit or is the fact that they eat our walls enough?! They eat other food fine and are very healthy so no problems with under eating or anything!

If they don't eat it, then they don't need it. Your walls appear to be all the grit they want. Plus the joy of picking it off there

They probably just don't eat it when you are looking

I add a bit to their crumble food so they get a bit in their diet. If they don't eat it, I agree, they don't need it.

Thank goodness it's cheap!
