Hello, I am new to the group, my city is currently in the process of approving urban chickens! Yay!
I have a friend who is opposed to the ordinance because backyard chickens contribute to allergies and "wreak havoc" on those with severe allergies.
What is your experience on this?

I would think it would take a LARGE flock to bother a neighbors allergies.
That said I am allergic to cats, maybe we should ban them, daughter is allergic to dogs...............

Thanks. She is claiming to have read articles from Forbes and conser reports but my quick searches have turned up nothing.

So long as your neighbor doesn't hold the chicken, their allergies shouldn't be aggravated at all.
