chickens eating cow feed?

i was wondering if it is safe for chickens to eat cow feed. they love to go and eat the scraps when the cow knocks the feed onto the ground and when she is finished eating!?

What kind of feed? Corn, oats, processed feed?

So long as they have adequate supplies of their proper food available, what they eat serendipitously won't matter much.
