Your "blue" silkie looks very much like my lavender silkies from Ideal. They are also called a self-blue.

Neat. He has gotten a little darker with age. Here he is now. I named him Tuffy, but the name of course doesn't need to stay in his new home. lol. He never had feathered feet. [IMG] but he is a sweet little guy.

Quote:Yep, definitely a lavender. [IMG] Lots of people are looking for them, so I'd try putting lavender in your title. You'll find him a great home quick I bet! I think it would be cool to have silkie with nonfeathered feet, but still breed for large crests and/or beards.

The pictures of the first bird that you say is a Brahma isn't a brahma or if it is it's not worth much as Brahmas have feathered legs.

Quote:The Birds are Brahmas, and they do have feathered legs. However, free ranging has reduced my birds (Silkies, Brahmas, and cross breeds) to mostly stubs. If kept in a nice clean envirnment that is dry they will get those nice feathered legs/shanks. As chicks they had really nice feathers, so full you could hardly see their legs and feet. And my featherlegs when penned, heal up nicely.
