OH NO!

I just put two new young wheaten americaunas in a pen outside with my older chickens so they can get a look see and get used to them before I join them into the coop--they flew over and are running around on my 70 acres! There is NO way I am catching these critters..

any suggestions on how to entice them into the barn at night? They are new to my farm...just got them 3 days ago....

so sad....I pray they will be ok...

help please.

Could you entice them with treats? Is there a place where you can corner them with the help of other family members? Do you have a net, like a fishing net on a pole that you could use to catch them?

Treats are a great idea! My chickens love bird seeds so ive sprinkled some towards the coop and then come up behind them to slowly coach them back in. I wish you luck, know its hard.

If you can't lead them back with treats, you could distract them with treats and then throw a sheet over them and pick them up. I've also found that when chasing a chicken around they will grow tired of it eventually.
