Is this any way to deter chickens from plucking the leaves and stalks off my plants? I assume they are checking every nook and cranny for bugs.[IMG]

Fence in an area that you want them to stay in and to keep them out of the areas that you dont want them in.

If you are using the hens for pest control as I am it is a draw as to how to control the behaiviors. When the caterpillars show up to decimate my Columbine I want the hens on it. The rest of the time they will get wet.

I never heard of the scarecrow motion detector sprinklers, good idea! Unfortunately, I live in south Florida so flowers, shrubs etc bloom all year round. If I catch them in the act, I'll squirt them with the hose!
