I have two chickens who were sitting on their eggs for 2 weeks or longer. They got locked out of the hen house by accident therefore allowing the eggs to get below temperture. They have been sitting for almost 4 weeks now and it is obvious those eggs are not going to hatch. Should I take them away and let them start over with new eggs from my other chickens, or just let them sit on them till they give up and come out of their broodiness?

Brooding takes a lot out of most hens. Another 21 days of setting could conceivably kill them. I would throw out the bad eggs and place the hens in a wire bottomed cage to break their broodiness.
