Is the coop already up and built? Or where you want to put it is too close ?
Is that 100 feet rule from there house or property line?

I wouldn't worry... what's the options? Move coop now.?. or wait till the county tells you to move it?. . And they may never tell you.. so just keep it there.. give some eggs to your nieghbors once in awhile for good will.

Technically, you are theoretically breaking a law set in place by people who could easily take your chickens away and give you a fine. That being said, the chances of something happening are so low that they are almost nonexistant. The law was set in place in order to make sure neighbors aren't being bothered, and since yours aren't, it doesn't really matter. Plus, what are they going to do, go to your house and use a measuring tape to measure out 100 feet? I think they have better things to do with their time.

it's interesting to see people know something it not allowed/illegal but they still do it anyway..

then post about it of how horrible the city/authority is when they got a fine/notice...

there's no "ft away" requirement for my area

since if there is there's no way i can raise chickens.. since the neighbors are only 30-50 ft way.. and they are all around me 5 of them.

it's a good thing that there's no "ft away" requirement here

Sounds like they found out after coop is up and built .. about the 100 feet rule.. . Since the op is concerned about it.. likely if they knew they would have built it further away..
Since there allowed chickens and there only violation is the feet away requirement.. I can't imagine a big fine if discovered. .

the good thing with the backyard is the city inspector will not peek over your 6ft wall to check what you have in the backyard..

the main problem would be the neighbors

most code violation notices are from neighbors reporting you to the city or hoa..

I parked my car ON my own driveway for a few years without any problem. it has expired plate and will not start ( i don't use it as often so didn't bother fixing it up)

it was fine for 2-3 years since i will wash it every now and then

but.. when i asked a neighbor if they can stop parking so close to my driveway since it's difficult to see when backing out with their cars so close

i got a notice from the city later about my parked car a few days later

apparently it's illegal to have an UN-operable vehicle in the public view.. even if you are parking on your own driveway.. so i had to fix the car and renewed the registration.

i know who ratted me out but i didn't care .. until they started to park pretty close to my driveway again ..

they have 5-6 cars but only 2 parking spaces..so they were using the front of my house as their private parking spots ..parking their cars there without moving for 8-9 days!

did you know that depends on which city you are in parking on a public street for more than 24 hour is illegal? my area is 48hr.. another city i know is 72hr..

so i got tired of it and i just call the police.. they got a notice to move their car or get a fine...they moved it shortly

i just want to live in peace.. but i guess for some people when you asked nicely they considered it as an insult

if you can see when you are backing out when you have a truck and suv parked on both sides of your driveway-- they created blind spots that difficult and unsafe when backing out for us

yet.. i guess they think they are entitled to the space in front of my house because it's a public street

they already know that blocking my driveway is illegal and will result in a ticket (no warning).. but i guess they didn't now that you can't park on a public street for more than 48 hours here..
