chickens on patrol :)

    WELL, you probably won't believe it if I dint have a pic..

    Ok my light Brahman hen caught this ,and killed it .. while on bug patrol , , its non venomous so right now the whole chicken and ducks gang are chasing it around the yard as I type. [​IMG]

    no i finished cutting the head off so they will not get hurt on the fangs but they , will lose intrest in a couple mins

    does that silly hen really think she can ingest that whole snake? It would probably fill her crop up and then some!

    Do you hire them out???? I nearly stepped on a rather large milk snake Friday!

    What about rattle snakes? We get a few around here in the summer and have to watch our step in certain areas. Are the hens savvy to snakes and avoiding their bite?

    My girls just walk right over em!!! [​IMG] Or keep them nice and warm in the nest during the winter [​IMG] Nothing like picking a girl up to get the eggs and finding a rather large rat snake sleeping soundly!!!

    My cats not much better! Ive see him watching snakes sun themselves on the walk way. Or my favorite was when Trap was sitting on the top step watching the snake on the bottom step! Such a worthless cat, but I love em.
