my chicks turned 3 weeks old today and they got a huge treat: IT WASN'T RAINY AND COLD!!! so they got to go out, for the first time, today too!

i worry, though, that they seem to have no natural fear of predators...

Your cochins are lovely... Did you get them from a breeder? They look like excellent quality and you may want to consider showing them! [IMG]

My White's are breeder quality and are from a local breeder. She NEVER shares her cochins so i was .ucky to aquire them and i believe its safe to say it is a closed gene pool! I unfortuantly cannot show them because there sscales are permently raised from scaly leg mites (wich is why she allowed me to purchase them). I will be showing there offspring! My red, blue and silver penciled [ill post pictures of them tonight]are all from stromburgs hatchery. The only one that would have a chance at the show would be my blue one... so she will be at the noveber 22nd show locally. Thanks so much for the compliment

it really is a blast to watch them!

i convinced my sister, who isn't really interested in the chickens at all, to come over and keep an eye on them for me today while i cleaned their room. she stayed for a lot longer than the 15 mins it took me to get my chores done because they were entertaining her so much!
