Evening everyone.......so we moved our hens who are 25 weeks old today to their new coop about 3 weeks ago. Tonight, they went in and i checked on them as usual and i noticed some pecking. I have never seen this before...i am thinking they were pecking to try and get to the best of 3 perches. If anyone has any advice or agrees/disagrees please reply to our post.

It's pretty normal for even older, established flocks to squabble some over roosts and roost position.

They're just jousting for a better position. Who they sleep next to, who has the better cross breeze, who has the safer perch... So many things to fight for. It never stops no matter how long they've been together.
