My chickens have a treat thing that they peck to get treats. It hangs from the top of their run and they know how to use it. They’ve been using it fine for weeks and they haven’t been scared of it. Today, I filled it up and I was walking around their run to see if the coop needed to be clean, and all of the sudden the treat thing drops, and they flap and fly around the run, petrified. Like I said, they were never scared of it before. Also, it has fallen down before and they still use it the next day when I put it up again. I put more treats in it, and as soon as one of them pecked it, they are flew around again, scared. What do I do, to kind of reintroduce it without terrifying them?
