chickens stopped laying

what would cause my hens to stop laying? i haven't got an egg in about a week. nothing has change except i got a rooster i haven't changed feed its been in the 90s. they are barred rock and a leghorn

Hens might stop laying for many reasons: heat, stress, age, illness, nutrition deficiencies....a new rooster would definitely add stress. They might even be hiding eggs because of him.
What age are they? How many do you have? Are they free range? What do you feed?

they are about 7-8 months i have 8 hens they have a very large fenced in predator proofed area and they get nutrena nature wise layer feed. they went from laying really well to no eggs.

It sounds like you are doing everything right....maybe a snake could get in and steal eggs? Or it might just be a normal lapse in laying. You may want to check out forums on ' hens not laying' for other ideas. Good luck!
