I have about 60 chickens 20 for egg laying and another batch for eggs and meat and then some purely for eating. I had fowl flu and lost a few from that and now I have this ailment where the chickens start breathing funny and making a distressed sound they look like they have a cold and shake their heads, normally one eye clises over also and have a little discharge from the eyes, nose and a clear thick liquid in their throat and they smell weird. Cheers Paul

Yes and they seemed to drink more than the others. I am now around 50 and I have had chickens since I was 5 and best friends father bred, showed and judged English Game Bantams and standard. I have never gad so much hassle. Cheers Paul

You really need a diagnosis from a vet. All the meds, wormers etc. can be very hard on them especially if it isn't needed for their problem.

Yes that is the next thing for me. I went to the vet to get tablets for the Fowl Flu and it cost me a $100 and it died the next day. She gave me Antibiotics and the Sulfur 3 worked much better from the produce. I will take a chicken there and see what happens. Cheers Paul
