We covered the coop so I cant see them drinking. I didnt know that they drink less in cold weather, thats good to knowAre you sure they aren't walking over the hay to the water fount at any time during the day? Keep in mind that they drink a lot less water in cold weather and they will also eat snow for hydration.
Thank youI swear mine drink more in the winter! Its like Im CONSTANTLY dragging one of the 2 waterers to be filled.
They will drink when they are thirsty![]()
I dont have any ventilation at this moment (I know, I should get on that). I think i might be better to keep the water outside in case of frostbite for my coopI keep water in the coop and in the pen.
It's snowing here, nearly 10 inches at 6 am.
I cleared the snow around the coops and neither the pullets nor hens will come out this morning.View attachment 2452746View attachment 2452747

My coops are well ventilated. GC
no!!!! do no put the water in the coop it will cause moisture and frostbite. If you can after snow calms down put or make some ventilation.Should I put the water in with no heater even with bad (no) ventilation?
