I got a barnyard mix again that are so fun and easy to hatch. Its just after 2 am on day 21 and the first one is out of a creamy beige colored bantam sized egg. It is black and very noisy and insistent. But he's not coming out till he's dry. I have taken too many out before they are ready and it doesn't turn out well. Besides, its freezing out and his brooder is across the yard in another building and I'll be dam*ed if I'm going out there with a newly hatched chick even if it is only 150 feet. there's another one almost out of a brown egg, slightly bigger than this one, I've got some light green eggs pipping and a very large oddly shaped white one with speckles that is pipping.
