Our Post Office was great about calling me first thing this morning to pick them up. One Orpington was DOA. Looked like she was trampled. But the rest were bright and happy. I dipped their beaks in the sugar water and showed them their feeders.

There are already two knuckle-heads. One thinks she's a duck and wants to swim in the water. The other crawled inside the feeder and I had to rescue (and cuddle) her. Their peeps are quieter now so I think they must all have something in their tummies and are warm enough.

I hate my thermometer already because the red light and angle make it hard to read. Using my flashlight, I think it says about 92 degrees, I might get a new one.

    Here are some pictures:

The dark ones are Barred Rocks. [IMG]

Everybody is pretty quiet right now. That means they're happy, right? They aren't bunched up so I think they are happy with the temperature. I took the tops off of the feeders because a couple of babies kept crawling in. Silly babies.
