chicks dying

I'm doing everything "by the book" but they just keep dying at around 2 weeks any ideas will be appreciated!

Find another source for your eggs, be careful how you clean your bator and try placing it it another place?

these are eggs from my hens.they have been out of the incubator for couple weeks. thanks!

It would help to kow exactly what you are doing. What is the temp in the brooder, what are you feeding, what is the bedding, etc. And, have the chicks been exhibiting any symptoms of illness? Bloody poop, lethargy, diarrohea, etc.

they are i my basement in a 6 foot kiddie pool paper covered with wood shavings aspen I think. A heat lamp in the middle @ 12 inches off the floor. And feed chick starter none shop any signs of illness

Are they pasting up? They ALL die? Are they too hot from the heat lamp? Are you wood shavings possibly cedar? Try pine shavings which are nearly white and not oily. Is your chick starter fresh? Maybe it got mildewy in the basement? Maybe try medicated chick starter?

not all dying just the ones I wanna keep(isnt it always that way?)they have PLENTY of room cause thats what I first thought. there is no draft clean feed daily I'll check the pasting up I hadnt thought to check. Havent used medicated starter but I will and the shavings are Aspen not cedar tractor supply quit carring the good shavings Thanks I'll check the pasty butts and med feed . Jesse
