Chicks first day out at 7 weeks old! PICS

We have 13 7 week olds and the weather finally cooperated (and the run was finished!) to be able to let them out.

They have LOVED being outside and only needed some coaxing to come in to roost the first night. They practically jump over each other to be the first one out the pop hole in the morning!!

I never knew that keeping chickens would be this much fun!!

They were 3 weeks in the house (in my classroom) and then moved to the coop. I guess I misunderstood the temp thing. I thought it had to be 70 outside...till Standard Hen set me straight!!!

I have 1 buckeye, 1 ameracauna, 3 wyandottes, 2 PBR, 2 cuckoo marans, 2 cochins and 2 buff brahma bantys.

I have learned so much here!
