We got our chicks from a friend that lives behind us. They're bantam hens that are now 9 weeks old.
The strange thing is that ours that have been away from mama for 3-4 weeks are growing really well. The others that they still have are still with mama and are growing super slow. Ours are twice the size of their siblings.
Could their slow growth be because they're still with their mama that still wants to sit on them? Our friend said that the chicks won't eat stuff unless they get approval from mama.
