chicks have bumps?

I have 13 chicks that are 3 1/2 weeks old. Sussuxes and Anconas. the anconas have a bump between the back and the tail base. One chick has a big bump, I dont know if it is full of fluid or a feather didnt come through (like a ingrown hair). Another chick has a smaller bump on it same place but it is moist. It is a bump and it is pointy at the end. What do I do, is it suppose to be there? I called the hatchery, they couldnt give me any answers. If some one can help me please let me know Thanks. o yea forgot to mention that a few chicks have diarrea, i think it is the anconas but I cant say for sure

If it is just above the tail nub, that is their oil gland. When they preen they will get oil to run along their feathers. This is a normal part of a chicken. Some will be larger, some smaller. I had one little man that rubbed his so much it looked inflammed.
