I have some chicks who are missing their feathers from their necks and some of their feathers on their backs. All the other chicks are fine. Do I have a problem?

How old are the chicks? They could just be growing out their big bird feathers. If that's the case, they'll look awful for a while but they're otherwise fine.

Guessing I'd say they are about 3 weeks old? It's normal for some to get feathers before others. Males tend to get feathers slower also.

Are the other pecking on them?

    Welcome to BYC!

Lack of feathering, or poor quality feathers can be caused by several things. Genetics are one reason. Poor nutrition is another. Parasites can cause feather loss. Overcrowding is another reason you may see feather loss or lack of good feather growth.
