This was my first time incubating and I had a 100%hatch. I kept 14 eggs 1 was infertile, 12 that were fine and 1 who had a broken air cell on the last few days and still hatched. Leaving me with 13 chicks. I know you could vent sex but I don't know exactly how to do it and didn't want to risk hurting them. So I decided on trying feather sexing. I am still not sure on which are male and female. The oldest is about 34 hours old. 3 of the 13 are still in the incubator drying up so I only have pictures of 10 of them. Also I don't know what kind of breed the last chick is, I only know it's a French breed. If anyone can ID the breed it would also be helpful. The others are polish, cochin, silkie, and Ayam cemani.

Waaaaay too early to tell.

Unless those chicks had a fast feathering father and slow feathering mother then they cannot be feather sexed. If every chick could be feather sexed then hatcheries would not need vent sexers.
