Chicks pecking

I have two chicks that are both two weeks old. I heard loud chirping in my brooder in my spare room. I picked up the one chirping the most and it had blood around both its little eyes. They have been fine for two weeks together. Help!

Chicks are like little kids, everything is new and interesting, especially things that move, like eyes.

Why would they start doing this?

Maybe they're bored? Or maybe a little crowded, if the brooder is quite small? Or curious, of course! One of my chickens used to peck everything in sight out of curiosity, but she grew out of it.
