i have a few chicks that are sneezing what do i do?
Not a whole lot of information to go on there. Check out the link below and answer as much as you can, then perhaps we can help you out.
multiple breeds theyre is news paper down in the brooder i have a light on them theyre about 3 weeks old. no bleeding no trauma theyre poop is fine uhm they are eating regular chick starter and drinking regular water with a few drops of VETRX mixed in (only a few) and the treatment so far is i mixed vet rx in the water and i cleared its nostrols.
Hmmm... wish I could be there to see/listen to them. Three weeks old, they need about 80-85 degrees. I think that given the ages and sneezing, I would separate the sneezers from the others, though it's probably too late, you never know.
Make sure they keep eating and drinking, keep them warm. Other than observation, not much I can tell you. Oh wait, one thing- newspaper isn't very good for chicks- wood shavings (NOT cedar) or paper towels would be better. Gives their feet a better grip and prevents spraddle leg.
Good luck, I hope they are fine.
well newpaper is all i have right now.
Quote:Not a real big deal, just something on the side. Wish I could help you more.
well thank you
I don't know much about chickens, but this site here has charts at the bottom where you can look up your chicken's symptoms, then you can look up the disease above them for more information. Good luck.
