They will be arriving here on Wednesday or Thursday on a short plane ride!!!

So excited. The watermelon box is all set up, getting the brooder lights and everything today -

We have a dozen Americauna chicks coming, 4 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, 4 Silver Laced Wyandottes, 4 Black Copper Marans, and 4 Lavender Orpingtons.

I'm hoping to keep 2 Americauna Hens, and one of each of the other breeds. I have homes for up to 12 other hens and 1 roo.

The coop is being built the end of next week, so I'll have a place for them all to get when they outgrow the brooder!

So excited! Any last words of advice??

Go ahead and turn on the heat source in the brooder and let things stabilize to check temps a day before they arrive. Don't heat the whole brooder. Plenty of feed and water so they can't drown. Elevate the food and water to keep "stuff" out of it. About as high as their back. Relax and enjoy them while they are small. They grow so quick. And congratulations!
