chicks starting a very bad habit.. how do i stop it? (pecking)

My chicks are all ready pecking at each other, they are not crowded and not fighting over food and water. I can't figure out what to do to make them stop! Can anyone give me advice to stop this horrible habit, they are about 3 weeks old.
I didn't have this problem with my flock last year
(my chicks are on chick starter also)

Azygous that article gave me quite a few insights thank you!
I have one chick who I'm wondering about. I'm calling her boss lady at the present time as she (or maybe he... they came sexed but we all k ow that's not failsafe) likes to seemingly keep the others in line with pecks and I did catch her with some down (I assumed her own but not sure) on her beak. She also tends to stand guard when the others nap so that makes me wonder about gender a bit.
Time will tell but good tricks to keep her occupied if she's just ocd!
