Hey guys! I'm new and I just wanted to know, how long does it take for a chick to become poullet on the point of lay? If anyone had the answer I'd be stoked!
    Thx![IMG]

I heard it is about 20 weeks. Mine aren't there yet (7 weeks).

Depends on the breed of course. What I call a pullet in about 10 to 12 weeks when all their feathers are developed. They start laying anywhere from 18 to 24 weeks.

18-20 weeks of age. Their comb should go a deeper red when they are preparing to start laying. All my pullets are 23 weeks and regular layers [IMG]
