Chicks Tuesday from my pet chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered 5 pullet blue silkies and one cockeral blue silkie from my pet chicken and they should arrive Tuesday!!!!! I'm soooo excited. This is the first time I ever ordered chicks that will come through the mail. Any tips for shipped chicks?? Ohh and at what age will a rooster and hen be able to produce fertile eggs for hatching???

How exciting!!! I have never ordered chicks, so I can't be any help there, but I would imagine that if they don't start laying eggs until around 20 or so weeks, you will have to wait at least that long for fertile eggs.

have the brooder ready and as you take each chick out of the shipping box dip their beak in the water in the brooder so they know where it is.
Oh and you have to post pics when you get em....
