Chicks with five toes

    My three baby chicks have five ones. One has five on one foot and four on the other. Does this mean they are roosters I hope not because I can't keep them then... Please help

    Some breeds of chickens have 5 toes. Nothing to worry about.

    Ok, the rooster was a polish rooster and i dont what the hen was.

    Yep, doesn't mean it is a rooster. It still could be, but having an odd amount of toes doesn't determine it's gender. [​IMG]

    Five toed breeds are Faverolles, silkies, Sultans, Houdans and Dorkings.
