I know this is a common topic but I just got baby chicks a few days ago and they already have pasty butt. We had to use scissors to cut some of the hardened poop off and now it's kinda bald back their. We did everything right when we got the chicks. I don't know what we did to cause it. Or is it just a common thing for chicks that will go away? I honestly am new at raising chicks but I had a lot of chickens and how old will the chickens stop having pasty butt? I'm worried about the baldness, but I'm sure their gonna be fine :) any advice or ideas?

You can use a paper towel dipped in warm water to help get the poop off.

You can also add ACV to their water.
