Chicks

    I have chicks that are about 4 to five weeks old . Big enough to jump out of a 55 gallon container. Can I put them out side in the coop . And keep the heat lamp on if they need it ? I'm in Florida if this helps

    Yes you can move them out. They shouldn't need heat by this point. I would take the heat off of them there inside for a day to start acclimating them and then move them out.

    My oldest chicks are being brooded outdoors by a mama and they have not slept under her since about 4 or 5 weeks, and I am up in Maryland.
