Chipmunks are Amazing jumpers

My job is an August-May job with June and July off. Yes, I know it's tough to have summer off. My coop is done, the birds are in. I let them out during the day in the backyard and I put out a hanging feeder at my back step and a few different waterering stations so they have easy access.
I have a couple of chipmunks that have been raiding the feeder, so I raised it a little higher, and they just hop on board. Yesterday, after the chickens had come to eat, I tied another loop in the rope and hung it at what I thought was high enough. When the chipmunk came he saw the feeder, looked puzzled, walked around it, made some calculations, checked wind direction, then jumped straight up to it. I was really surprized, so I got out the ruler amd measured it.
It was just 18" off the ground. I was going to raise the bar and see what his limit was, but decided to bring the food in and just go out with it every so often, or when the ladies come to the back door.
I wonder how high the chipmunks can jump?
