Chiquita Chickens - real breed or just a cute cross?

I am getting some Chiquita hatching eggs from a friend tomorrow. I don’t really know anything about that “breed” but I never turn down anything free and I was going to fire up the incubator anyway. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with these chickens? Are they a “real” breed or more of a “designer” breed (aka a cross)? My friend said they are a cross of Silkies and Isbars and that she got her Chiquita’s from another friend who bought the eggs online.

If they are the result of a silky X Isbar mating, they are cross breds.

Right, but if done enough generations back and the cross breeds true, then it’s a “real” breed, right? I just can’t seem to find any information on them (which might be saying that they are really just a cute cross, even if done over several generations).
