Chocolate and Lavender Colors

I see that a lot of ppl are working on different colors for different breeds. What mixes do you use to create chocolate and lavander birds and does anyone have any pics of chocolate colored birds? I have never seen any chocolate birds.

Chocolate orpingtons are available in England, but not here. There are some great pics on line, just search the images on google...There are some beautiful lavender orps as well.

There are two types of "chocolate." One is caused by the sex-linked recessive gene choc, and the second caused by the incompletely dominant dun allele of dominant white, I^D.

choc has recently been imported to the US in serama. Dun is found in a number of US breeds, including OEGB & polish.
 
My Serama's came from Jerry and I'm getting some brown colored chicks that I need help to identify.
