[IMG] Someone finally did it! Chickens that lay chocolate eggs! I'm so excited - now my egg basket will be perfect! I'll be calling them today to get one of the silver ones!

(If this is a BYC'r, sorry for the sarcasm, but you may want to edit your post. I am actually interested in getting another Marans, though)

Yes, but those are the first Marans I've seen that lay actual chocolate eggs! I'd have to watch all day and grab the eggs before the melted all over the inside of the nesting boxes. Maybe it isn't such a great thing, after all...... I'd get pretty fat owning a bird that lays chocolate eggs.

Isn't that stretching the truth a bit. I mean that much for a dozen eggs I would worry someone who buy them end up with all hens and sell the eggs to be hatched. I think someone needs to re-do the ad.

I wonder if there's a variety that lays sugar-free chocolate eggs for diabetics. [IMG]

White Chocolate with Raspberry drizzle or Dark Chocolate with Carmel yolk! Maybe someday?
