Christmas Turkey Carcass

Hi all,

I hope y'all had a great Christmas celebration today. We broiled a 13-lb turkey today, so we have a carcass with some leftover meat on it. Can I just throw this in the coop tomorrow and let 'em have at it?

Yep. I have done it before with chicken. After I clean off what I want the rest goes to the birds.

Yes & I will be doing the same w/ my turkey carcass for my girls, they will pick it clean in a day or two!

You can either do that or turn it into a much nutrient based bone broth for later use!

I was thinking this too, but thought they might choke on a bone or something.. Is that wrong?

They did get any turkey that was leftover on plates. I have never seen such a game of keep away in my life!
